Lifeguards-Seasonal 2024

 

Staunton Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for summer lifeguards. Must possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification; YMCA Lifeguard Certification; or ELLIS.

Your Role:

 

Lifeguard ($13.87 per hour). Duties will include, but not be limited to:

 

Individual will provide a safe swimming environment; enforce rules; rescue anyone in danger of drowning; administer first aide, administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and/or Automated External Defibrillator as needed.

 

Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.

 

Submission to a background check is required by all candidates.
